Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented VDB Diamond Sourcing Executive to source and shortlist diamonds through the VDB (Virtual Diamond Boutique) platform according to company requirements. The candidate should have knowledge of diamond specifications, quality, pricing, and supplier coordination. The role involves identifying suitable diamonds, comparing prices, checking availability, and coordinating with management to finalize purchases for the USA jewellery market.

Key Responsibilities

- Search and source diamonds through the VDB platform based on company requirements.
- Identify suitable diamonds according to carat weight, shape, cut, colour, clarity, and budget.
- Compare diamond prices, quality, and availability from different suppliers.
- Shortlist diamonds that meet the company's specifications and purchasing requirements.
- Contact suppliers to confirm diamond availability, pricing, and certification details.
- Verify diamond grading certificates, including GIA certificates where applicable.
- Negotiate prices with suppliers and obtain quotations.
- Coordinate with management for approval before finalizing diamond purchases.




- Maintain diamond sourcing records, supplier information, quotations, and comparison reports.
- Follow up with suppliers regarding purchase orders, availability, and delivery status.
- Coordinate with the Diamond, Purchasing, Inventory, and E-commerce departments.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience using the VDB platform or similar online diamond trading platforms.
- Good knowledge of diamonds, diamond grading, and the 4Cs: Cut, Colour, Clarity, and Carat.
- Experience in diamond sourcing, purchasing, trading, or procurement.
- Ability to compare diamond quality and prices accurately.
- Positive negotiation, communication, and supplier coordination skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and reporting.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work within deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Candidates with experience in loose diamond sourcing, diamond trading, or the jewellery industry will be preferred. Knowledge of the USA diamond and jewellery market will be an added advantage.
