POSITION OVERVIEW The role is responsible for conducting Telephonic Medical Examination Reports (TMER) calls and supporting underwriting activities through medical verification, risk assessment, and strict adherence to underwriting guidelines, quality standards, and internal processes.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Conduct telephone-based medical verification (TMER) as per prescribed scripts, underwriting norms, and guidelines.
- Accurately capture and document medical and personal information obtained from proposers.
- Identify discrepancies, risk indicators, or non-disclosures during TMER interactions. • Ensure compliance with all process, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform analysis of health insurance proposals within assigned underwriting authority limits.
- Generate appropriate underwriting requirements based on medical risk assessment and guidelines.
- Maintain defined turnaround times (TAT) and productivity standards. • Participate in quality audits and implement corrective actions as required





EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

- 14 years of experience in TMER, medical underwriting, or insurance operations.
- Prior exposure to health/life insurance underwriting processes is preferred.
- Graduate in any medical field (e.g., BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BDS, B.Sc Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, or equivalent).
- Proficient with Languages mainly Hindi + English and any 1 native language (Marathi/Gujarati/etc)

PREFERRED SKILLS

- Robust verbal communication and telephonic interaction skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and underwriting concepts.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to strictly follow scripts, SOPs, and guidelines.
- Good time management and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and underwriting systems
