This role ensures cost-effective operations through proactive maintenance strategies, budget management, operational efficiency, safety compliance, energy optimization, minimal downtime, and team training, while also coordinating with vendors and cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance and gas utilization.

Key Responsibilities

- Operational & Maintenance Management:

 Lead installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance of refrigeration systems (Cold rooms, Freezers, Chillers, Display Cases). Ensure optimal functionality of all R&A; equipment, including chillers, freezers, Coldrooms and production equipment.

 Oversee routine and preventive maintenance schedules to reduce unscheduled repairs and downtime.

 Manage compressor and system repairs to enhance efficiency and longevity.

 Supervise and document all repair and maintenance activities across stores.

 Conduct regular inspections and audits of R&A; systems to ensure compliance with operational standards.

- Budget & Expense Management:

 Monitor and report monthly expenses related to R&A; operations.

 Ensure adherence to budget allocations and implement cost-saving measures.

 Identify OPEX savings opportunities through process improvements and efficiency upgrades.

 Track and optimize gas utilization across all store locations.

- Team & Vendor Management:

 Lead and train R&A; technicians to improve technical competencies and performance.

 Conduct location visits to assess team performance and equipment conditions.

 Oversee 3rd party contractors and ensure vendor/supplier compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).

 Evaluate vendor and supplier performance to maintain high-quality service delivery.

 Facilitate weekly meetings with key stakeholders, including technical partners, to discuss maintenance updates and improvement strategies.





- Compliance & Documentation:

 Maintain accurate records of all R&A; equipment across store locations.

 Ensure proper documentation of all maintenance, repair, and servicing activities.

 Enforce safety standards and compliance with regulatory requirements in R&A; operations.

- Collaboration & Process Improvement:

 Work closely with store operations, procurement, and other departments to align R&A; maintenance with business goals.

 Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.

 Ensure seamless communication and coordination between internal teams and external service providers.

 The incumbent will also have a technical oversight & advisory role with respect to refrigeration and air-conditioning systems covering other group businesses in Nigeria like the Malls, Factories in Lagos.

Key Skills and Qualifications

 Education: Bachelor's degree or relevant certification in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC,

or related field.

o Master Degree in Engineering field will be an added advantage

 Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in refrigeration & air conditioning maintenance, preferably in the retail sector.

 Technical Skills:

o Trade Test Skills in R&A; o Strong expertise in HVAC, refrigeration, and cooling system maintenance.

o Knowledge of diagnostics, troubleshooting, and energy efficiency best practices.

o Project management and schematic drawing analysis

 Soft Skills:

o Excellent leadership and management skills to lead a high performing team.

o Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

o Valuable communication and coordination with internal teams and external vendors.

Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹170,000.00 per month
