Role Description The Subject Matter Expert (SME) — Computer Science & Emerging Technologies will provide domain expertise to develop and review academic and training content in areas such as programming, data structures, software engineering, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and other emerging technologies. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching current industry trends, designing course outlines and learning objectives, creating and validating assessment items, and ensuring technical accuracy and pedagogical clarity of all materials. The SME will collaborate with instructional designers, editors, and other stakeholders to align content with curriculum standards and industry expectations, and may participate in workshops or internal reviews to share specialist knowledge.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai,



requiring regular coordination with team members and adherence to organizational timelines and quality standards

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in core Computer Science areas, such as algorithms, data structures, operating systems, databases, and software engineering

- Expertise in one or more emerging technologies, for example artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, cloud computing, IoT, blockchain, or cybersecurity

- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (such as Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript) and familiarity with relevant development tools and frameworks

- Experience in curriculum design, academic content development, technical writing, or instructional design for higher education or professional training

- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, structured, and learner-friendly explanations and assessment items

- Strong research skills, including the ability to stay current with industry trends, standards, and best practices in computer science and emerging technologies

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with careful attention to accuracy, consistency, and detail

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,



or a closely related discipline; relevant certifications in emerging technologies are an advantage

- Ability to work on-site in Chennai, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Required Qualification & Skills

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or a related discipline

- Strong conceptual understanding of core Computer Science subjects and programming

- Demonstrated expertise in multiple technical domains, with the ability to review and validate content across additional subjects

- Experience in curriculum development, technical content creation, academic instruction, software development or technical training

- Strong analytical, documentation, communication and problem-solving skills

- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into transparent, structured learning material

Preferred Qualifications

- Teaching, mentoring, technical training or EdTech experience

- Experience designing project-based learning programmes for undergraduate students

- Familiarity with Git/GitHub, LMS platforms, coding assessment tools and AI-assisted learning tools

- Relevant industry projects, open-source contributions, technical publications or certifications
