Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Structural Packaging Designer with experience in AutoCAD and the printing and packaging industry. The candidate will be responsible for developing packaging structures, preparing KLDs (Key Line Drawings), creating prototypes, and optimizing packaging designs to meet customer requirements, cost targets, and production feasibility.

Qualifications & Experience

- Diploma / B.Tech in Printing & Packaging, B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, or any relevant graduate qualification preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in structural packaging design using AutoCAD.
- Experience in folding cartons, rigid boxes, and corrugated boxes within the printing and packaging industry is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop packaging KLDs using AutoCAD based on customer specifications and requirements.
- Design and develop structural packaging solutions for folding cartons, rigid boxes, and corrugated boxes.
- Create physical prototypes using a sample maker and validate structural integrity, dimensions, fit, and functionality.
- Modify and optimize existing packaging designs to reduce costs, minimize material consumption, and improve production feasibility.
- Coordinate with internal teams,



including Engineering, Design, Production, and Quality, to ensure smooth execution of packaging projects.
- Ensure packaging designs meet customer requirements and manufacturing standards.
- Review packaging dimensions, folding sequences, and structural details before prototype approval.
- Support the development of recent packaging solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills Required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, including 2D/3D design and rendering.
- Knowledge of packaging materials such as paperboard, corrugated board, and rigid board.
- Understanding of Adobe Illustrator artwork alignment and its application to structural packaging designs.
- Knowledge of packaging structures, dielines, folding mechanisms, and material utilization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates with hands-on experience in structural packaging design, prototype development, and packaging optimization in the printing and packaging industry will be preferred.
