Job Title: Stone Department Head – Gold Jewellery Manufacturing Company: Shree Ji Jewellery Location: Hyderabad Job Type: Full-time Salary: Based on experience and skills Job Summary Shree Ji Jewellery is looking for an experienced Stone Department Head to oversee stone inventory, issue stones to karigars, and manage the receipt and verification of stone-set jewellery. The role requires strong knowledge of gemstones, stone specifications, stock control, and jewellery manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities - Manage the daily operations of the stone department and supervise its staff.

- Receive, verify, sort, label, and store stones by type, size, shape, cut, colour, and quality.
- Maintain accurate stock records with stone sizes in millimetres, piece counts, and weights in carats or grams, as applicable.
- Issue stones to karigars against approved designs and job cards, recording quantities, weights, specifications, and issue dates.
- Maintain karigar-wise records of stones issued, used, returned, broken, or pending.
- Receive stone-set jewellery from karigars and verify it against the relevant job card and stone issue records.
- Check stone-set goods for correct stone sizes, quantities, colour matching, missing or damaged stones, and visible setting defects; coordinate quality approval and rework.
- Reconcile stones issued with stones set, loose returns, and documented breakage before closing each job.




- Ensure timely and accurate entries of stone movements and receipt of stone-set goods in Gati ERP.
- Conduct regular physical stock checks, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accountability for stones.
- Monitor stock availability and coordinate purchasing requirements to prevent production delays.
- Track pending work with karigars and coordinate with production, quality, and accounts teams.
- Prepare reports on stone stock, consumption, shortages, breakage, karigar balances, and pending receipts.

Required Skills &

Experience - Experience managing a stone department or stone inventory in gold jewellery manufacturing.

- Strong knowledge of rubies, emeralds, and other jewellery stones, including their sizes, shapes, cuts, and quality.
- Practical understanding of stone-setting processes and inspection of stone-set jewellery.
- Experience with karigar coordination, stock reconciliation, and team supervision.
- Working knowledge of Gati ERP and Microsoft Excel preferred.
- Robust numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and ownership of inventory.
