Job Summary

We are looking for an SRE / Cloud Operations Support Engineer with 1–3 years of relevant experience in cloud operations and production support. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring cloud-hosted applications, responding to alerts, managing incidents, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring service reliability.

The current infrastructure is primarily hosted on Microsoft Azure & AWS , with an ongoing migration to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with monitoring tools, incident management, Linux systems, and basic infrastructure automation.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor applications, services, and infrastructure hosted on Azure and support the transition to GCP.
- Monitor and respond to alerts from Datadog and PagerDuty within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Perform first-level incident triage, root-cause investigation, and troubleshooting.
- Execute documented runbooks to resolve recurring production issues.
- Monitor critical overnight jobs, scheduled processes, and batch processing activities.
- Identify, report, and escalate production incidents and potential service disruptions.
- Support monitoring configuration, alert tuning, and noise-reduction initiatives.
- Contribute to runbook documentation and operational process improvements.
- Assist with infrastructure configuration changes using Git and basic Terraform workflows.
- Coordinate with the internal SRE, DevOps, and engineering teams to resolve complex issues.
- Maintain accurate incident logs, resolution notes, and shift handover documentation.
- Follow established operational procedures and security best practices.

Mandatory Skills
- Cloud Operations: Microsoft Azure and/or GCP cloud environments.
- Monitoring & Alerting: Datadog and PagerDuty.
- Production Support: Incident management, alert response, and troubleshooting.
- Operating Systems:



Linux/Unix fundamentals, command-line operations, and log analysis.
- Infrastructure as Code: Basic Terraform knowledge.
- Version Control: Git fundamentals, branching, and pull requests.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Understanding of virtual machines, cloud services, and infrastructure monitoring.
- Networking: Basic knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, ports, connectivity, and firewalls.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to investigate issues, follow runbooks, and escalate incidents appropriately.

Preferred Skills
- Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
- CI/CD pipeline fundamentals.
- Observability concepts, including metrics, logs, and traces.
- Alert tuning, alert noise reduction, and monitoring optimization.
- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and cloud migration activities.
- Basic understanding of AWS cloud services.

Required Qualifications
- Experience: 0–3 years in SRE support, cloud operations, DevOps support, or production support.
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in any specialization or MCA.
- Practical troubleshooting skills and the ability to work in a production environment.
- Willingness to support scheduled overnight monitoring and shift handovers, as required.
