2. Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with 7–10 years of experience in Electrical Design within the MEP Consultancy industry. The candidate will be responsible for independently handling electrical design, calculations, drawings, technical documentation and coordination with HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting and other project teams.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of electrical building services, experience in managing project deliverables, and the ability to coordinate with clients, architects, consultants and internal engineering teams to ensure timely and quality project execution.

3. Key Roles and Responsibilities

A. Electrical Design and Engineering

- Design and develop electrical systems for residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, industrial and other building projects.
- Prepare electrical load calculations, connected load schedules and maximum demand calculations.
- Design and plan LT power distribution systems, including LT panels, distribution boards, transformers and related electrical infrastructure.
- Prepare electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematic diagrams, power layouts and electrical distribution drawings.
- Design lighting and power systems, including internal lighting, external lighting, emergency lighting and small power layouts.
- Calculate cable sizes, voltage drops, short-circuit levels and electrical protection requirements.
- Design earthing, lightning protection and electrical safety systems.
- Prepare electrical equipment schedules, technical specifications, BOQs and tender documentation.
- Review electrical requirements for DG sets, UPS systems, transformers, capacitor banks and other electrical equipment, as applicable to the project.
- Ensure energy-efficient design solutions and compliance with applicable electrical standards and project specifications.

B. Design Coordination





- Coordinate with HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting and other MEP disciplines to resolve design and service-routing conflicts.
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, clients, contractors and other stakeholders.
- Review architectural and structural drawings to ensure proper electrical service integration.
- Participate in design review meetings and resolve technical queries.
- Review shop drawings, contractor submissions and material submittals, wherever required.
- Provide technical clarifications and support during project execution.

C. Project Management and Quality Control

- Independently manage assigned electrical design deliverables from concept design through detailed design and tender stages.
- Ensure timely submission of drawings, calculations and technical documents as per project schedules.
- Check and review drawings and calculations prepared by junior engineers and draftsmen.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency and quality of all electrical design deliverables.
- Identify design issues and propose practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Maintain proper documentation, revision control and coordination records.

D. Team Management and Technical Support

- Guide and mentor junior electrical engineers and electrical draftsmen.
- Allocate and monitor assigned design tasks in coordination with the HOD / Project Manager.
- Review team deliverables and provide technical feedback.
- Support the HOD / Project Manager in planning resources, monitoring progress and meeting project deadlines.
- Assist in resolving complex technical issues and improving design processes.

E. Standards and Compliance

- Ensure electrical designs comply with applicable Indian electrical codes, regulations and relevant IS standards.
- Follow applicable National Building Code (NBC) provisions, CEA regulations and project-specific requirements.
- Incorporate applicable fire and life-safety requirements into electrical design.
- Maintain awareness of energy efficiency, sustainability and relevant industry practices.

4. Required Technical Skills

- Solid knowledge of electrical building services design in an MEP consultancy environment.
- Hands-on experience with electrical load calculations, power distribution, lighting design, cable sizing, voltage-drop calculations,



earthing and lightning protection.
- Ability to prepare and review electrical SLDs, layouts, schedules, specifications and BOQs.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and working knowledge of Revit MEP / BIM.
- Working knowledge of electrical design calculation tools and software such as ETAP, DIALux or equivalent, as applicable.
- Knowledge of applicable Indian electrical standards, NBC provisions and safety regulations.
- Valuable understanding of interdisciplinary MEP coordination and design quality control.

5. Educational Qualification

- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech) from a recognized university.
- Candidates with a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and strong relevant design experience may be considered, subject to company requirements.

6. Experience Requirements

- 7–10 years of relevant experience in electrical design within an MEP consultancy firm.
- Experience in handling building services projects independently.
- Exposure to commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, industrial or other large-scale building projects.
- Experience in reviewing drawings, coordinating with multiple disciplines and guiding junior team members.
- Experience in client coordination and technical discussions will be an advantage.

- Quality of design coordination with other MEP disciplines.
- Number and severity of design errors, omissions and rework.
- Effective handling of client comments and technical queries.
- Review quality and technical guidance provided to junior team members.
- Productivity, project planning and adherence to assigned timelines.
- Compliance with internal CRM timesheet and project reporting requirements.
- Contribution to team performance, design improvement and client satisfaction

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹125,000.00 per month
