2 Pints Brewing Taproom u0026 Kitchen

Whitefield

Sous Chef | Bangalore

We believe great beer brings people together — and that starts with the people who make it. While we’re dedicated to brewing authentic, true-to-style beers, our real craft lies in creating connection. Every pint we pour reflects the effort, creativity, and collaboration of a team that shares a common purpose: to make every experience meaningful.

Our workplace is built on the same values that define our taprooms — warmth, inclusivity, and a sense of belonging. Here, everyone has a voice, and every idea matters. Whether you’re behind the bar, in the brewhouse, or managing the daily rhythm of our kitchen, you’re part of something bigger — a community built on respect, passion, and shared pride in what we do.

If you believe great things happen when people come together, you’ll feel right at home here.

So, what’s the gig?

At 2 Pints Brewing, we’re looking for a passionate and hands-on Sous Chef who can work closely with the Head Chef to drive kitchen operations, maintain exceptional food standards, and lead a team that takes pride in every plate.

You’ll play a key role in managing daily kitchen activities, ensuring consistency in food quality, supervising the team, controlling food costs, and delivering memorable dining experiences that complement our craft beer culture.

This role is more than assisting in the kitchen — it’s about taking ownership, developing people, improving systems, and bringing creativity and discipline to everything we do.

The good stuff you’ll own

- Drive daily kitchen operations: Support the Head Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen activities, ensuring smooth workflow, timely preparation, and efficient service.
- Lead and support the team: Supervise kitchen staff, delegate responsibilities, monitor performance, and motivate the team to deliver their best.
- Maintain food quality and consistency: Ensure every dish meets our standards for taste, presentation, portion size, and preparation.
- Support menu development: Assist in creating new dishes, seasonal specials, and menu innovations that align with our brand and beer offerings.
- Manage food costs and inventory: Monitor stock levels, portion control, wastage, and food costs while ensuring efficient use of ingredients.
- Ensure kitchen hygiene and safety:

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food handling, storage, and compliance with FSSAI and other applicable food safety requirements.
- Oversee preparation and service: Ensure mise en place, production schedules, and kitchen readiness are maintained during peak service hours.
- Implement SOPs and systems: Follow and reinforce standardized recipes, preparation methods, kitchen processes, and operational checklists.
- Coordinate with other teams: Work closely with the Head Chef, Operations, Bar, and Procurement teams to ensure smooth coordination and effective execution of events and promotions.
- Train and develop team members: Coach junior chefs and kitchen associates, support skill development, and build a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Step up when required: Take charge of kitchen operations in the Head Chef’s absence and ensure service standards remain uncompromised.

If You Read This and Think “That’s Me!”, We’re On To Something!

- 5–8 years of culinary experience, preferably with 2–3 years in a Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef, or senior supervisory role.
- Strong experience in restaurants, gastropubs, breweries, hotels, or high-volume casual dining environments.
- Good understanding of kitchen operations, food production, menu execution, and service coordination.
- Working knowledge of food costing, inventory management, portion control, and wastage reduction.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety practices, and FSSAI requirements.
- Ability to supervise, train, and motivate a diverse kitchen team.
- A hands-on approach with the ability to work across kitchen sections and lead by example.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure.
- A team player who can collaborate effectively with the Head Chef and other departments.
- A genuine passion for food, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences.

What’s in it for you (besides great beer) At 2 Pints, you’ll get to:

- Grow your culinary career with a growing craft brewery and hospitality brand.
- Learn, experiment, and innovate alongside a team that values creativity and craftsmanship.
- Take ownership of kitchen operations and make a real impact on food quality and guest satisfaction.
- Develop your leadership skills while mentoring and building a strong kitchen team.
- Be part of an expanding brand with opportunities to grow as we open new locations.
- Work with passionate people who care deeply about food, beer, and hospitality.
- Enjoy the journey. Great food, great people, and good vibes included.

Before We Finish, What Makes Us, Us

- Craft & Authenticity: We pour craft and care into everything we brew — no shortcuts, no gimmicks, just honest beer and respect for tradition.
- Community & Connection: Because beer tastes better together. We believe shared moments build stronger communities and better stories.
- Warmth & Openness: Everyone’s welcome at our table — come as you are, stay as long as you like, and leave as friends.
- Curiosity, Curation & Deep Research: We geek out over the details — from recipes to design to playlists. Everything we do is curated with care and backed by genuine curiosity.
- Ease & Joy: We take our beer seriously, but never ourselves too seriously. Positive vibrations are non-negotiable.

If you’ve read this far and found yourself nodding along, we should probably be having this chat over a pint (or two) instead of a job post. Drop us a line, tell us a bit about yourself, and let’s see if we can build something excellent. We promise we’re friendlier than most interview panels — and our onboarding includes actual beer.
