Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Solar Liaisoning Officer to manage liaisoning activities, statutory approvals, documentation, and coordination with government departments, electricity distribution companies (DISCOMs), and other relevant authorities across Tamil Nadu. The candidate will support both rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects and ensure timely completion of approvals, inspections, grid connectivity, and commissioning-related formalities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Government & DISCOM Liaisoning

· Coordinate with TANGEDCO/TNPDCL and other relevant electricity authorities, as applicable, for solar project approvals and clearances.

· Liaise with DISCOM officials, electrical inspectors, local authorities, and other statutory bodies for project-related permissions and documentation.

· Follow up on applications, approvals, inspections, and pending cases to ensure timely resolution.

2. Rooftop Solar Project Liaisoning

· Coordinate net-metering, grid connectivity, feasibility approvals, and other applicable permissions for rooftop solar projects.





· Follow up on meter installation, testing, inspections, and commissioning-related approvals.

· Coordinate with internal project teams and customers to resolve documentation gaps and approval delays.

3. Ground-Mounted Solar Project Liaisoning

· Support land-related statutory coordination, electrical approvals, grid connectivity, and evacuation-related permissions, as applicable.

· Coordinate with relevant authorities for connectivity, substation-related approvals, electrical inspections, and project commissioning.

· Assist project teams with regulatory documentation and approval tracking.

Required Qualifications & Experience

· Graduate in any discipline; a diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering will be an advantage.

· 4–5 years of relevant experience in solar liaisoning, preferably involving both rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects.

· Practical experience dealing with DISCOMs, electrical inspectors, government departments, and other statutory authorities in Tamil Nadu.

· Knowledge of net-metering, grid connectivity, electrical inspections, solar project approvals, and commissioning procedures.

· Strong understanding of documentation, regulatory follow-ups, and approval processes relevant to solar projects.

Required Skills

· Fluency in Tamil is mandatory for effective coordination with local authorities.

· Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.

· Solid follow-up, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.

· Ability to manage multiple project approvals and meet timelines.

· Proficiency in MS Excel, email communication, and documentation management.

· Willingness to travel within Tamil Nadu as required.
