We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow SAM Lead Developer with strong hands-on expertise in ServiceNow Software Asset Management Professional (SAM Pro), software license management, ServiceNow development, and enterprise integrations.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end implementation, configuration, customization, and enhancement of ServiceNow SAM Pro.
- Design and implement software asset lifecycle management, license compliance, entitlement management, and software optimization processes.
- Configure software discovery, normalization, reconciliation, software models, and license calculations.
- Manage software license compliance, software reclamation, and optimization initiatives.
- Develop and customize ServiceNow applications using JavaScript, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Flow Designer.
- Integrate SAM Pro with CMDB, ServiceNow Discovery, procurement systems, and external enterprise applications.
- Develop and maintain REST API/SOAP integrations and troubleshoot integration issues.
- Lead technical design discussions, code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, software asset managers, and architecture teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Mentor developers, enforce development standards, and ensure quality delivery across the project lifecycle.

Mandatory Technical Skills

1. ServiceNow SAM Pro – Core Mandatory Skill

- Strong hands-on experience implementing and configuring ServiceNow Software Asset Management Skilled.
- Software entitlements, license compliance,



reconciliation, and optimization.
- Software discovery, normalization, software models, and license metrics.
- Software reclamation and lifecycle management.

1. ServiceNow Development

- Strong JavaScript and ServiceNow platform development skills.
- Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and UI Actions.
- Flow Designer, GlideRecord, and GlideAjax.
- Debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

1. CMDB, Discovery and ITAM

- Strong understanding of CMDB and ServiceNow Discovery.
- Experience integrating software inventory data with SAM Pro.
- Knowledge of IT Asset Management processes and data quality.

1. Integrations

- Hands-on experience with REST APIs and SOAP web services.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with external enterprise systems.
- Knowledge of IntegrationHub and integration troubleshooting.

1. Technical Leadership

- Experience leading ServiceNow development and implementation activities.
- Technical design, code reviews, deployment, testing, and production support.
- Ability to guide developers and coordinate with business stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

- ServiceNow Application Portfolio Management (APM).
- Enterprise software licensing and publisher-specific licensing rules.
- ServiceNow platform upgrades and release management.
- Automated Test Framework (ATF), Agile/Scrum, and CI/CD practices.
- ServiceNow CSA and relevant SAM-related certifications, where applicable.
