Service Engineer ## Role Overview Nandan GSE is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Service Engineer to join our dynamic field service team. In this critical role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the operational excellence of our Aviation Ground Support Equipment (GSE), Defence Systems, and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) at customer sites across India. This position demands strong engineering acumen, exceptional customer interaction skills, and meticulous documentation practices, requiring extensive travel. You will be instrumental in leading installations, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and breakdown services, directly contributing to the reliability and performance of vital equipment for our esteemed clients in defence, aviation, and industrial sectors. ## Key Responsibilities Lead and execute site installation, commissioning, and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for GSE, MHE, and defence equipment. Rigorously follow and execute preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment longevity and optimal performance. Provide comprehensive training to customer operators and maintenance teams during equipment handover.

Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing and resolving issues within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Expertly diagnose and troubleshoot complex hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical faults.

Coordinate effectively for spares supply and manage follow-up service visits.

Maintain accurate and detailed service reports, Preventive Maintenance (PM) checklists, and secure customer sign-offs.

Ensure disciplined and timely updates to the ERP system and service tracker.

Actively capture customer feedback and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Build and maintain strong customer trust through professional, calm, and clear communication on site.

Provide customers with timely status updates and resolution progress.

Escalate complex issues appropriately to internal teams when additional support is required. ## Required Skills &

Qualifications ### Education/Required Education Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering. ### Experience Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in field service, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial equipment, preferably in aviation, defence, or heavy machinery. ### Primary Skills Proficiency in Hydraulics troubleshooting.

Strong Electrical troubleshooting capabilities.

Expertise in Mechanical troubleshooting.

Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings.

Competence in reading wiring diagrams.

Skill in interpreting hydraulic circuits.

Fluency in using ERP systems for service management.

Proven experience in equipment Installation and Commissioning.

Demonstrated ability to perform Preventive Maintenance.





Strong skills in Breakdown service and diagnosis. ### What We're Looking For Willingness to travel extensively across India (and occasionally abroad) is a mandatory requirement.

Working Conditions: Frequent travel to customer sites including airports, defence units, factories, and warehouses. Company-issued tools, PPE, and uniform will be provided. Travel and field allowances are applicable as per company policy.
