Job Summary

- Accounting Operations includes accounting operations roles involved in overseeing the day-to-day financial transactions with accuracy and in compliance with regulations, accounting principals and standards.

- Covers cost accounting (allocating and analyzing direct and indirect costs, actual vs. budgeted cost variance analysis, etc.), and budget accounting (developing and monitoring annual revenue/expense budgets for the purpose of controlling funds and measuring operating results).

- Also covers accounts payable / accounts receivable, billing invoicing roles.

- Administrative stream includes those who primarily support others by performing skilled technical, administrative or operational tasks.

- Jobs may range from highly supervised entry-level workers, technicians, and administrative staff to experienced individual contributors with robust technical or practical knowledge in specific areas, who have an ability to execute specialized work to support operations.





- At the top of this career stream, individuals work independently and apply standards, yet can also make departures from established processes to resolve problems.

- A colleague at this level works independently within defined boundaries and guidelines in a specific area but will need supervision and support on more complex tasks. Knowledge is required for the application of practical methods and techniques, work procedures and processes.
