Job Title: Sr. Purchase Executive Solid Waste Management

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Procurement / Purchase Manager with a strong background in the solid waste management sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in sourcing and purchasing spare parts and components for LMV (Light Motor Vehicles) and HMV (Heavy Motor Vehicles), along with a deep understanding of vendor management, cost optimization, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for vehicle spare parts, equipment, and consumables used in solid waste management operations.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors for LMV and HMV parts to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality compliance.
- Develop and maintain a reliable vendor base for automotive components, including OEMs and aftermarket suppliers.
- Ensure timely procurement to support uninterrupted fleet operations and maintenance schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to forecast demand accurately.
- Analyse market trends, pricing, and supply risks to optimize procurement strategies.
- Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and agreements in line with company policies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, company policies, and audit requirements.
- Track and evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery timelines,



and cost.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement in procurement processes.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and reporting systems.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in procurement, preferably in solid waste management, logistics, or fleet operations.
- Strong knowledge of LMV and HMV spare parts, components, and maintenance requirements.
- Experience in sourcing automotive parts, including engines, hydraulics, electricals, and body components.
- Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and contract management skills.
- Familiarity with ERP/ Microsoft Dynamic and procurement software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Positive communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with municipal solid waste management companies or fleet-heavy operations.
- Technical understanding of vehicle maintenance and lifecycle management.
- Certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is a plus.
