Job Summary The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of medium to large-scale lottery software and technology projects within Scientific Games' Central Gaming division. Operating within a structured PMO environment, this role leads cross-functional project teams, manages scope, schedule, budget, risk and stakeholder expectations to deliver quality outcomes on time. The Senior PM works collaboratively with regional and global delivery teams, drives governance adherence, and ensures projects are planned, executed and closed with rigour and transparency.

Scope

Lead delivery of one or more concurrent technology or software projects from initiation through to closure. Manage project budgets typically ranging from $0.5M to $3M. Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, QA, infrastructure and business stakeholders. Maintain accountability for project RAID, schedule integrity and executive-level reporting.

Job Duties / Key Accountabilities

Project Planning & Delivery:

- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules and milestone trackers.
- Define scope, objectives and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Manage critical path, dependencies and resource requirements across workstreams.
- Ensure stage-gate approvals and change control processes are followed.
- Drive project execution through structured sprint or phase-based delivery cycles.

Stakeholder & Communication Management:

- Act as the primary point of contact for internal project stakeholders and clients.
- Prepare and present project status reports, steering committee packs and dashboards.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure timely escalation of issues.
- Facilitate effective project meetings, decision forums and action tracking.

Risk & Issue Management:

- Identify, assess and manage project risks and issues proactively.




- Maintain RAID logs and ensure mitigation actions are tracked to closure.
- Differentiate between blockers requiring immediate escalation and risks requiring monitoring.
- Engage senior stakeholders to resolve critical path blockers.

Financial Management:

- Track project budgets, forecast spend and report actuals vs. plan.
- Manage purchase orders, vendor invoices and resource cost tracking.
- Reconcile financial variances in coordination with Finance and PMO Analyst.
- Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to the PMO Lead.

Governance & Quality:

- Ensure project documentation meets internal governance and audit standards.
- Maintain stage-gate documentation, RAID registers and change logs.
- Support audit preparation and compliance reporting.
- Apply lessons learned to improve delivery practice on subsequent projects.

Requirements & Competencies:

- 48 years' experience in project management within technology, software or systems delivery.
- Demonstrated ownership of project delivery from initiation through to closure.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams (engineering, QA, infrastructure, business).
- Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).
- Hands-on experience with RAID management, milestone tracking and change control.
- Budget management experience — tracking actuals vs. plan, managing vendor spend.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills — both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in PM tools: MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced) and PowerPoint for reporting.
- Certification: PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in regulated industries (gaming, fintech, payments, telecom) is an advantage.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, global delivery setting.
