Roles and Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end New Product Development (NPD) process, from concept generation to commercial launch.

- Develop new tea and beverage products, including green tea, herbal tea, CTC tea, and other tea-based product categories.

- Conduct tea tasting, sensory evaluation, blend development, formulation, and product quality assessments.

- Coordinate product trials, pilot batches, and production-scale trials to ensure consistency and feasibility.

- Establish product specifications, recipes, quality parameters, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

- Work closely with production, procurement, quality assurance, packaging, and marketing teams to ensure successful product development.

- Identify and evaluate raw materials, tea varieties, ingredients, suppliers, and packaging materials.

- Ensure product quality, taste consistency, shelf life, food safety, and compliance with applicable FSSAI requirements.

- Conduct product costing, evaluate raw material consumption, and optimise formulations to achieve target margins without compromising quality.

- Research market trends, consumer preferences,



competitor products, and emerging opportunities in the tea and beverage industry.

- Coordinate with external laboratories and testing agencies for product testing, shelf-life studies, and quality validation.

- Develop and maintain product development documentation, including formulations, trial reports, specifications, and approval records.

- Troubleshoot product quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

- Evaluate packaging suitability, product stability, and compatibility with manufacturing and storage conditions.

- Manage multiple NPD projects, timelines, budgets, and launch milestones.

- Ensure confidentiality of formulations, recipes, product specifications, and other proprietary company information.

- Continuously improve existing products in terms of taste, quality, consistency, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per year
