Designation: Senior Manager/AVP Non Litigation- Real Estate Financing

Location: Mumbai

Job Role

Conduct legal due diligence and title verification for Commercial Real Estate (CRE) lending transactions, including ownership documents, chain of title, encumbrances, land records, project approvals, permits, and statutory compliances.

Review and assess Title Search Reports (TSRs), Legal Scrutiny Reports (LSRs), and Due Diligence Reports prepared by external legal counsels, identify title defects and legal risks, and recommend suitable risk mitigation measures.

Review, draft, vet, and negotiate financing and security documents, including loan agreements, mortgage deeds, escrow agreements, assignment agreements,



pledge documents, guarantees, indemnities, and undertakings.

Verify the legal validity and enforceability of collateral offered for CRE financing and assess its suitability for mortgage creation and security perfection.

Coordinate with external legal counsels, borrowers, developers, and internal credit and business teams to resolve title-related issues and ensure timely closure of legal due diligence.
