Senior Fitter ## Role Overview Nandan GSE is seeking highly skilled and experienced Senior Fitters to independently lead the fitting, alignment, and structural assembly of complex mechanical systems and heavy-duty equipment at our state-of-the-art Khalapur facility. This pivotal role involves taking ownership of critical assemblies, mentoring Junior Fitters, and ensuring the highest standards of quality, productivity, and shop-floor discipline. If you are a leader on the shop floor with a passion for precision engineering and a commitment to excellence, we invite you to contribute to building India's next manufacturing powerhouse. ## Key Responsibilities Independently perform fitting and assembly of critical fabricated structures and sub-assemblies, ensuring adherence to specifications. Drive alignment, fit-up, and dimensional accuracy for complex mechanical systems. Coordinate effectively with welders and supervisors for structural positioning and tack welding operations.

Lead the erection and assembly of large fabricated structures with precision and safety.

Fluently read and interpret complex 2D engineering drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;) tolerances.

Install and precisely align shafts, bearings, bushes, pins, brackets, and structural frames.

Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., vernier calipers, micrometers, dial gauges) with expertise.

Carry out hydraulics installation and integration where applicable, ensuring proper functionality.

Coordinate with electricians and hydraulic technicians for seamless sub-system integration.

Champion a "right-first-time" assembly approach, striving for zero rework and optimal efficiency.

Actively mentor and guide Junior Fitters and Helpers, fostering their skill development and adherence to best practices.

Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, 5S principles, and overall shop-floor discipline. ## Required Skills &

Qualifications ### Education/Required Education ITI Fitter / Fabrication / Mechanical trade certification. ### Experience Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical fitting and assembly, preferably in heavy machinery or complex fabricated structures. ### Primary Skills Proficiency in fabrication and assembly processes.

Expertise in 2D engineering drawing interpretation and GD&T; tolerances.

Fluent use of precision measuring instruments.

Strong mechanical fitting skills.

Experience with hydraulics installation and integration.

Work from home / remote / hybrid work is NOT permitted. Work Schedule: 6 days per week, 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM. Sundays and the 3rd Saturday of every month are off.
