Job Summary

Cyient, Inc. is seeking an experienced Unigraphics NX Sheet Metal & Welding Engineer to contribute to the design and development of complex mechanical systems. This role involves utilizing advanced NX CAD functionalities to create detailed designs, manage sheet metal fabrication, and specify welding processes, ensuring manufacturability and adherence to industry standards.

Job Responsibilities
Develop 3D models and 2D drawings of sheet metal components, assemblies, and welded structures using Unigraphics NX.
Apply advanced NX Sheet Metal features for flat pattern generation, bend deductions, and formability analysis.
Perform design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Identify and resolve design issues related to manufacturability, assembly, and performance.
Generate Bill of Materials (BOMs) and support documentation for production.
Participate in the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies.
Ensure all designs comply with engineering specifications, company standards, and customer requirements.

Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.




5 - 8 years of qualified experience in mechanical design with a robust focus on sheet metal and welding.
Expert-level proficiency in Unigraphics NX CAD software, particularly with Sheet Metal and Large Assembly modules.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T; principles.
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Role:

Under direct supervision, assists with designing new products and processes and improving and maintaining existing products. May conduct design analysis on components and/or assemblies to assist in the development process by ensuring designs are cost efficient, manufacturable, and reliable. Communicates with the other engineering personnel to coordinate the interrelated design and assure project completion. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
