Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer – On-Premises Automation

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer – On-Premises Automation to lead and implement end-to-end infrastructure provisioning and automation across on-premises environments and Microsoft Azure.

The ideal candidate should have robust hands-on experience in Jenkins, Ansible, VMware, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The candidate will be responsible for building secure, scalable, and repeatable automation pipelines while ensuring compliance, security, monitoring, and operational efficiency.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Lead secure and repeatable on-premises infrastructure build and provisioning pipelines.
- Design, develop, and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for automated on-premises provisioning and configuration.
- Create reusable pipeline templates for virtual machines (VMs), physical hosts, operating system deployment, configuration, certification, and rollback.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning across on-premises environments and Azure.
- Integrate ServiceNow-led intake, approval, orchestration, and status-tracking workflows.
- Use Jenkins and Ansible for on-premises builds and Azure DevOps and Terraform for cloud infrastructure provisioning.
- Implement hardened-image validation, security scanning gates, secrets management, approval workflows, and audit evidence.
- Develop and maintain Ansible roles, PowerShell modules, and infrastructure automation scripts.
- Perform automated testing, code reviews, and validation of infrastructure provisioning workflows.
- Implement logging, monitoring, troubleshooting,



and root-cause analysis to improve system reliability.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, infrastructure policies, and operational requirements.
- Integrate automation workflows with CMDB and change-management processes.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment activities, hypercare, and operational handover.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams to deliver reliable automation solutions.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- 8–10 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure automation.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in on-premises infrastructure automation and provisioning.
- Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline development.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and VMware virtualization technologies.
- Experience with Git and version control systems.
- Strong expertise in Ansible automation and PowerShell scripting.
- Proficiency in Python scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Understanding of security scanning, secrets management, and compliance controls.
- Experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience

- Experience with ServiceNow-based intake, approval, orchestration, and change-management workflows.
- Exposure to Azure DevOps and Terraform for cloud infrastructure provisioning.
- Experience integrating infrastructure automation with CMDB updates and audit processes.
- Knowledge of automated infrastructure testing, rollback strategies, and production handover.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹2,090,000.00 per year
