Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer with strong expertise in Special Purpose Machines (SPM), fixture design, jig design, and 3D mechanical modelling using SolidWorks. The candidate should be capable of independently handling design projects from concept development to detailed engineering drawings and manufacturing support.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop Special Purpose Machines (SPM) based on customer requirements.
- Design jigs, fixtures, checking fixtures, clamping mechanisms, and assembly fixtures.
- Create 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, and assembly drawings using SolidWorks.
- Develop machine concepts, layouts, and detailed mechanical designs.
- Select suitable mechanical components, including cylinders, guide rails, bearings, motors, and actuators.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with production, assembly, purchase, and project teams.
- Review designs for manufacturability, functionality, safety, and cost effectiveness.
- Support fabrication, machining, assembly, and troubleshooting activities.




- Handle design modifications based on customer feedback and project requirements.
- Ensure timely completion of design projects and maintain drawing standards.

Required Technical Skills

- Solid experience in SolidWorks 3D modelling and 2D drafting.
- Practical experience in SPM machine design and fixture development.
- Good knowledge of jig, fixture, tooling, and clamping mechanism design.
- Understanding of GD&T;, engineering drawings, and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems and mechanical components.
- Ability to develop concepts and independently execute design projects.
- Experience coordinating with manufacturing and assembly teams.

Eligibility Criteria

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant experience in SPM Design and Fixture Design is mandatory.
- Candidates must have hands-on experience with SolidWorks.
- Good problem-solving, communication, and team coordination skills.
