Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer with 2–5 years of experience in fixture and cavity design. The candidate will be responsible for developing 3D models, preparing 2D engineering drawings, designing fixtures and cavity components, and supporting manufacturing activities to ensure dimensional accuracy, quality, and cost-effective production.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop jigs, fixtures, machining fixtures, assembly fixtures, and checking fixtures.
- Develop cavity inserts, core inserts, and related tooling components.
- Prepare 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, and assembly drawings.
- Apply GD&T;, tolerances, fits, and fixture locating and clamping principles.
- Select suitable materials and standard components based on design requirements.
- Coordinate with CNC machining, EDM, wire-cut, grinding, production, and quality teams.
- Support fixture trials, cavity inspection, dimensional corrections,



and design modifications.
- Review customer drawings, technical specifications, and engineering changes.
- Maintain design documentation and ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.

Mandatory Technical Skills

- 2–5 years of relevant experience in fixture and cavity design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, Siemens NX, or AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling, 2D detailing, GD&T;, and engineering tolerances.
- Understanding of machining processes, tool materials, and manufacturing methods.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and solve design-related problems.

Educational Qualification Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
