Role Description The Senior Copywriter is a full-time, remote role responsible for crafting transparent, compelling, and culturally resonant copy across Superfan.ng’s products and marketing channels. Day-to-day tasks include writing copy for the app experience, campaigns, email, social media, landing pages, and press materials, as well as refining brand voice and messaging guidelines.

The role involves collaborating with product, design, and marketing teams to translate strategic goals into impactful written content, editing and proofreading materials for consistency and accuracy, and ensuring all communications reflect deep respect for diverse African cultures.

Copywriter will also contribute to content ideas, storytelling approaches, and scripts that enhance user engagement and brand awareness.

Qualifications

- Strong writing skills for digital products and campaigns, including experience crafting clear, persuasive, and culturally aware copy.
- Expertise in communication and marketing, with the ability to translate strategic objectives into effective messages and narratives.
- Experience creating and refining press releases and media-facing content that align with brand positioning.
- Advanced proofreading skills, with meticulous attention to grammar, tone, and factual accuracy.
- Proven experience in a senior copywriter, content lead, or similar role, preferably in edtech, consumer apps, or culture-focused brands.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines without close supervision.
- Strong understanding or demonstrated interest in African languages, cultures, and storytelling traditions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
