Job Overview

UpHire Talent Solutions is hiring an experienced Senior Architect for a leading architecture and design organisation specialising in innovative, functional, and purpose-driven spaces across healthcare, commercial, residential, institutional, hospitality, and mixed-use projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong architectural design and planning skills, expertise in preparing working and construction drawings, and the ability to independently manage projects while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead architectural projects from initial planning and concept development through design execution.
- Develop architectural concepts, space plans, layouts, design proposals, and client presentations.
- Prepare, review, and coordinate detailed architectural drawings, working drawings, construction details, and project documentation.
- Plan spaces based on functionality, workflows, zoning, circulation, and applicable building standards.
- Coordinate with structural, MEP, interior design, and other consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
- Collaborate with site teams to resolve design discrepancies and technical issues during construction.
- Conduct design reviews, monitor project timelines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Participate in client meetings and communicate design concepts, progress, and project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, statutory regulations, and relevant planning standards.
- Assist in preparing BOQs, technical specifications, and tender documentation.
- Guide junior architects, review their work,



and ensure quality and consistency across project deliverables.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) from a recognised institution.
- 5–6 years of relevant experience in architectural design, planning, and project execution.
- Proven ability to independently handle architectural projects and coordinate with teams.
- Strong knowledge of architectural planning, design development, construction details, materials, and working drawings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Working knowledge of architectural visualisation and presentation tools such as SketchUp, Blender, Photoshop, Lumion, or Enscape is an advantage.
- Robust understanding of space planning, zoning, circulation, and building regulations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, coordination, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines, prioritise tasks, and maintain high-quality project documentation.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in healthcare or hospital planning and design will be an advantage.
- Candidates with experience in institutional, commercial, hospitality, residential, or large-scale architectural projects are preferred.
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary consultants and site execution teams is highly desirable.
