About the Company

Our client is a reputed Australian CPA firm providing professional accounting, taxation, audit, and advisory services to Australian businesses and individuals. They are seeking a skilled Australian Accounting skilled to join their growing team.

Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior Australian Tax & Accounting Professional to support bookkeeping, accounting, taxation, and SMSF audit-related activities for Australian clients. The ideal candidate should have a sound understanding of Australian accounting practices, attention to detail, and hands-on experience with Australian accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

Manage bookkeeping and day-to-day accounting activities for Australian clients.

Maintain accurate financial records and accounting ledgers.

Prepare bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports.

Support Australian tax compliance activities, including BAS, IAS, GST, and tax return preparation.

Assist with individual, company, trust, and partnership tax-related work.

Support SMSF accounting, compliance, financial reporting, and audit-related activities.

Assist with SMSF audit documentation and coordination.

Liaise with Australian clients via email and virtual meetings.





Review accounting records for accuracy and completeness.

Ensure timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables.

Stay updated with relevant Australian accounting, taxation, and SMSF compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications

Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA Australia. (MBA/ MCom with relevant exp. are welcome)

Experience in Australian accounting, bookkeeping, taxation, or SMSF-related work.

Experience working with Australian CPA firms or Australian accounting clients is preferred.

Strong understanding of Australian accounting and taxation processes.

Hands-on experience with:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience with Australian bookkeeping and accounting processes.

Exposure to BAS, IAS, GST, PAYG, and tax return preparation.

Experience supporting SMSF accounting or SMSF audits.

Familiarity with Australian compliance deadlines and reporting requirements.

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members.
