About the position

Our client is an agile, fast-growing business where new requirements show up all the time: new entities, new tools, new workflows. They need a Finance Accountant who enjoys that pace. You’ll handle recurring finance operations within a standardized, automation-led model, and you’ll also help build the processes that let the operation scale.

This role suits someone who likes learning new systems quickly, sees a messy process as a problem worth solving, and gets satisfaction from leaving things cleaner and more automated than they found them. You’ll work alongside senior accountants and a team lead, with direct exposure to European finance operations.

Depending on experience, the role is offered at Finance Accountant or Senior Accountant level.

Key Responsibilities

Weekly operations

Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing

Bank reconciliations

Monitoring incoming documents and document flows

Exception handling and query resolution

Month-end close

Month-end close preparation and execution

Balance sheet reconciliations and suspense account review

Accruals and prepayments

Management reporting preparation (P&L;, balance sheet, MIS)

Supporting the review and sign-off cycle

Building and improving processes

Setting up new processes and workflows as client requirements evolve

Learning and adopting new tools and platforms quickly, and helping the team do the same

Spotting manual work and turning it into automated, exception-based processes

Redesigning templates, structures and checklists to improve accuracy and visibility

Taking ownership of problems end to end: finding the root cause, fixing it, and documenting the fix

Client onboarding (project work)

Onboarding new administrations into the standardized model

Cleaning up existing records,



clearing backlogs, and making historical corrections

Setting up workflows and automation (e.g. document capture and bank feeds)

First-month go-live support

Quality and teamwork

Following internal review checklists and controls before work goes for sign-off

Maintaining clear documentation and contributing to the team knowledge base

Supporting continuity and backup coverage within the team

What You Bring

3–6 years of hands-on experience in finance and accounting operations (Senior Accountant level: 5+ years or demonstrable ownership of close and reporting)

B.Com / M.Com; ACCA, CA Inter or CMA part-qualified candidates are strongly welcome

Solid grounding in full-cycle bookkeeping, AP/AR, reconciliations and month-end close

Experience with cloud accounting platforms such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Exact Online, Twinfield or Odoo, and the confidence to pick up current ones fast

Familiarity with automation tools such as Dext, bank feeds or OCR/document capture is a strong plus

Exposure to European, UK or US finance operations (VAT, payroll, multi-entity accounting) is a plus

Experience in an outsourcing or accounting-practice environment handling multiple clients and deadlines
