Job Title: Senior / Intermediate SEEBURGER BIS Engineer Managed File Transfer

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on SEEBURGER BIS Engineer to support the development, configuration, integration, and production operations of an enterprise Managed File Transfer platform in a banking environment. The successful candidate will work as part of a cross-functional engineering and support team responsible for reliable and secure file exchange across business applications, partners, and external networks. This is an individual contributor role focused on implementation, troubleshooting, platform support, and continuous improvement.

The role does not require ownership of the overall platform roadmap or operating model.

Key Responsibilities

- Configure, develop, test, and support interfaces and workflows using the SEEBURGER BIS platform.
- Support secure file transfers between internal applications, external partners, mainframe systems, cloud services, and other enterprise platforms.
- Develop and maintain file-transfer workflows, routing rules, partner configurations, schedules, alerts, and operational procedures.
- Work with business and technical teams to understand integration requirements and translate them into SEEBURGER BIS solutions.
- Support data transformation, file format conversion, validation, encryption, compression, and protocol configuration as required.
- Troubleshoot failed transfers, processing errors, connectivity issues, certificate problems, and application integration defects.




- Monitor production file-transfer activity and respond to operational alerts and incidents.
- Participate in incident, problem, change, and release management activities.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop unit test plans, integration test cases, implementation documentation, and support procedures.
- Participate in application releases, production deployments, system upgrades, and workplace validation.
- Support migration of legacy file-transfer workloads to cloud and modernized integration environments.
- Work with infrastructure, cybersecurity, application, database, cloud, and production-support teams to resolve issues.
- Contribute to automation, monitoring improvements, self-service capabilities, and operational standardization.
- Follow enterprise security, architecture, change-management, audit, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in knowledge transfer, technical documentation, and on-call or after-hours support as required.

Required Qualifications

- 3–8 years of experience in enterprise integration, Managed File Transfer, application support, or middleware engineering.
- Practical hands-on experience with SEEBURGER BIS, preferably including configuration, workflow development, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Understanding of Managed File Transfer concepts, including secure file exchange, partner onboarding, routing, scheduling, acknowledgements, retries, and exception handling.
- Experience with common file-transfer protocols such as SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2, or similar
