Role Description

- The Cyber Security Engineer is a full time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for c. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls across applications, networks, and infrastructure, including identity and access management, encryption, and secure configuration baselines. The engineer will perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, monitor security events, investigate alerts, and coordinate incident response to mitigate threats and perform RED Team activities.
- Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with engineering and product teams to embed security in the software development lifecycle, reviewing architecture and code for security risks,



and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

The role also requires creating and maintaining security documentation, promoting security awareness practices across the company, and continuously evaluating new tools and methods to strengthen the security posture.

- Qualifications
- Strong cybersecurity and information security skills, including threat modeling, risk assessment, and security architecture design.
- Proficiency in application security, such as secure coding practices, code reviews, and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in network security, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, segmentation, and secure network design.
- Hands-on expertise in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and remediation across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to fintech (e.g., data protection, privacy, and industry security standards).
- Experience with security monitoring tools (SIEM, EDR, log management) and incident response processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant certifications such as CEH, OSCP, CISSP, or similar are an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and document security controls and procedures.
- 4–8 years in security, with clear hands-on experience on both offence and defence.
