Role Description The Sales Manager role at Deepak Electricals is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai.

The Sales

Manager will oversee sales operations, develop and implement sales strategies, and manage key customer accounts across industrial, commercial, and government sectors. Daily responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, preparing and negotiating quotes and tenders, coordinating with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. The role also involves monitoring market trends,



competitor activity, and product performance to support pricing and sourcing decisions.

The Sales

Manager will collaborate with internal teams to meet sales targets, maintain accurate sales reports, and support the development of long-term customer partnerships.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong sales and business development skills, including lead generation, negotiation, and closing deals.
- Candidates should possess customer relationship management skills, with experience in account management and client servicing.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of electrical products and industry practices, preferably in cables, switchgears, and related materials.
- Candidates should possess skills in market analysis and forecasting, including understanding pricing, competition, and demand trends.
- Candidates should possess communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present proposals and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, along with prior experience in electrical or industrial sales.
- Ability to work in office in Chennai, manage field visits when needed, and use basic digital tools (CRM, spreadsheets, email) effectively.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting sales targets and maintaining long-term client relationships will be an advantage.
