: Sales Executive / Area Sales Manager – Building Materials

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented sales professional with experience in the construction or building materials industry. The candidate will be responsible for developing business, managing dealers and distributors, building client relationships, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop new business opportunities in the construction and building materials market.
- Build and maintain relationships with dealers, distributors, builders, contractors, architects, and developers.
- Generate leads, conduct client visits, and convert enquiries into sales.
- Manage existing accounts and expand the customer network within the assigned territory.
- Identify new markets and business opportunities to increase sales.
- Negotiate pricing, prepare quotations, and follow up on orders and payments.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely order execution and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare regular sales reports and maintain customer records.





Required Skills & Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline; a business or marketing qualification is preferred.
- 3–8 years of relevant sales experience in construction or building materials.
- Experience in dealer management, distributor handling, channel sales, or project sales.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to generate leads, develop new markets, and achieve sales targets.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

Preferred Industry Background Candidates with experience in any of the following sectors will be preferred:
- Cement and steel
- Tiles and sanitaryware
- Pipes and plumbing products
- Plywood, laminates, and boards
- Paints, hardware, and construction chemicals
- Other building and construction materials
