– Quality Inward Inspector

Work Location: Arasur, Coimbatore

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Quality Inward Inspector to inspect incoming raw materials and castings, perform dimensional inspections, and ensure product quality in accordance with engineering drawings and established quality standards. The candidate should have good knowledge of GD&T;, precision measuring instruments, and GDC/LPDC casting processes.

Key Skills

- Knowledge of raw material and casting verification upon receipt.
- Proficiency in using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret 2D engineering drawings, including projection views.
- Good knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;).
- Experience in inward material, final, and periodical inspections.
- Skills in record keeping, inspection reports, and quality documentation.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with Stores and Production teams.
- Good knowledge of GDC (Gravity Die Casting) and LPDC (Low Pressure Die Casting) processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Verify incoming raw materials and castings to ensure compliance with specified quality standards and requirements.
- Perform dimensional inspections using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Read and interpret 2D engineering drawings, including projection views, to verify dimensional accuracy.




- Apply GD&T; principles during inspection to ensure components meet drawing specifications.
- Conduct inward material inspections, final inspections, and periodical inspections as per the established inspection plan.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, quality reports, and other relevant documentation.
- Coordinate with Stores and Production teams to ensure proper material handling and smooth workflow.
- Inspect and monitor GDC and LPDC casting processes to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Identify and report non-conforming materials or components and coordinate with the concerned teams for corrective action.
- Support continuous quality improvement activities and ensure adherence to company quality procedures.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering / relevant technical discipline.
- Relevant experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing or foundry environment.
- Practical knowledge of measuring instruments, engineering drawings, and casting inspection.
