Role & responsibilities

- Design, develop and maintain automation frameworks (Page Object Model, data-driven, hybrid/BDD)

- Write and execute automated test scripts for UI, API and regression testing

- Perform functional, integration, regression, smoke and sanity testing

- Automate REST API testing and validate responses, status codes and data

- Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps)

- Identify, log and track defects in JIRA; work with developers to resolve them

- Review requirements and user stories, and prepare test plans, test scenarios and test cases

- Run backend validation using SQL queries

- Take part in sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives

- Report test results, coverage and quality metrics to stakeholders





Must-Have Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver using Java (or Python)

- Test frameworks: TestNG / JUnit (Java) or PyTest (Python)

- API automation: Rest Assured / Postman / Newman

- BDD: Cucumber with Gherkin

- Build and version control tools: Maven / Gradle, Git

- CI/CD integration: Jenkins or similar

- Valuable working knowledge of SQL

- Sound understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle and Agile/Scrum

- Defect and test management tools: JIRA, Zephyr / TestRail / qTest
