Role Description The Purchasing Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Gurugram, with some flexibility for working from home. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end purchasing activities, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely procurement of commodities and related materials.

Day-to-day tasks include analyzing market trends and pricing, evaluating supplier performance, coordinating with internal teams on demand forecasts, and maintaining accurate purchasing records.

Manager will develop and implement procurement strategies that support cost efficiency, quality standards, and supply chain reliability.



The role also involves monitoring inventory levels, resolving supplier issues, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid procurement and sourcing skills, including supplier identification, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
- Candidates should possess skills in supply chain and inventory management, including demand forecasting, stock optimization, and logistics coordination.
- Candidates should possess analytical and financial skills, such as cost analysis, budgeting, and data-driven decision-making.
- Candidates should possess communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Candidates should possess organizational and planning skills, including attention to detail, time management, and process improvement capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, finance, or a related field; relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPM) are an advantage.
- Experience in commodity trading, natural resources, or chemicals sectors is beneficial, along with familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems.
