Intensiv-Filter Himenviro (IFH) is a clean-air technology company with more than 100 years of filtration expertise, dating back to 1922. We design, manufacture, install and service industrial air pollution control equipment, including bag filters, reverse air baghouses, electrostatic precipitators and hybrid filters, for cement, steel, power, chemical, food and other process industries, with teams in India and Germany and customers worldwide.

About the role

You will handle day-to-day procurement for our manufacturing and project requirements: sourcing, comparing quotations, placing orders and following up with vendors until the material arrives. A good knowledge of sheet-metal components is important. The role involves regular visits to vendors in the Delhi NCR area.

Key responsibilities

Handle purchase activities for project, engineering and plant requirements on new and ongoing projects.

Float purchase enquiries to vendors, collect quotations and prepare comparative statements with price and cost analysis.

Negotiate with vendors and place purchase orders after approval.

Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders accurately, with correct specifications, quantities and delivery dates.

Follow up with vendors against delivery dates and expedite where material is at risk of delay.

Ensure uninterrupted supply of the right material, in the right quality and quantity, at the right time.

Review vendor terms and agreements to secure good price and quality.

Identify and develop new vendors for sheet-metal components and other regular requirements.

Coordinate with project, stores,



quality and accounts teams on delivery, quality and payment issues.

Verify vendor invoices against orders and receipts, and forward them for payment.

Material reaches the plant when production needs it.

Orders are placed on properly compared quotations at competitive prices.

Purchase orders are accurate and rarely need correction.

Vendors are followed up before a delay becomes a shortage.

What you bring

Essential

Diploma, B.E. / B.Tech or Graduate degree.

6-11 years of experience in purchase / procurement in manufacturing or sheet-metal industries.

Positive knowledge of sheet-metal components and items.

Ability to compare quotations, negotiate and follow up persistently with vendors.

Working knowledge of MS Excel and accurate documentation.

Ability to travel locally for frequent vendor visits.

Preferred

Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience with ERP-based purchasing.

Existing knowledge of sheet-metal and fabrication vendors in Delhi NCR.

Ability to read basic drawings and bills of material.
