Responsibilities
- Format manuscripts into print-ready books (B5, A5 and other trim sizes) in Word (DOCX), including page setup, styles, headers, TOC and margins
- Fix formatting issues such as list indentation, table fonts, numbering,
pagination and copyright pages
- Work on Hindi and English titles, including Unicode and font consistency
- Design print book covers using the brief from the editorial team
- Check each file for consistency before it goes to the printer or Amazon
- Keep the production tracker updated and coordinate with editors and authors
Requirements
- Solid command of MS Word, especially styles, sections and table formatting
- Working knowledge of Canva or similar for covers
- Attention to detail and patience with long manuscripts
- Ability to read and write Hindi and English
- Basic understanding of print specifications and PDF print files
