Position – Project Manager – HVAC /MEP Projects

Location - Project Site / Hyderabad

Job Purpose To Execute the projects HVAC services with R&D;, Pharma project and oversee the complete mechanical MEP project activities, ensuring timely execution, technical compliance, quality, safety, cost control and successful project completion as per approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

- Plan, coordinate and supervise mechanical MEP project activities from mobilization to completion and handover.
- Prepare project execution plans, work schedules, manpower requirements, and material requirements.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and ensure timely completion of activities.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, architectural, structural, and other MEP teams to avoid interface issues.
- Identify project risks, delays, and constraints and implement corrective measures.
- MIR & Joint measurement sheet approval for Billing.

2. Technical Coordination

- Review shop drawings, coordinated drawings, material submittals, technical submissions, and method statements.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, architects, vendors, and subcontractors for technical approvals and clarifications.
- Identify design discrepancies and prepare RFIs/technical queries wherever required.
- Ensure all works are executed according to approved drawings and project specifications.




- Provide technical guidance and solutions to site engineers and supervisors.

4. Manpower & Subcontractor Management

- Plan and allocate manpower according to project requirements.
- Monitor the performance of mechanical engineers, supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with subcontractors regarding work fronts, productivity, quality, and project schedules.
- Conduct regular site meetings and progress reviews.
- Ensure adequate resources are available for uninterrupted project execution.

5. Material & Procurement Coordination

- Prepare and review material requirements based on project schedules and BOQ.
- Coordinate with procurement and stores teams for timely availability of materials.
- Review material specifications and ensure materials conform to approved submittals.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning.

6. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure all mechanical works are carried out in accordance with project HSE requirements.
- Coordinate with the EHS team to implement safe working practices.
- Ensure compliance with permit-to-work systems, PPE requirements, work-at-height procedures, hot-work controls,



and other applicable safety requirements.
- Stop unsafe work practices and ensure corrective action is taken.

7. Documentation & Reporting

- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
- Maintain records of drawings, approvals, inspections, testing, material submittals, and project correspondence.
- Monitor as-built drawings and ensure they are updated based on actual site installation.
- Coordinate preparation of operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, test certificates, and handover documents.

8. Client & Consultant Coordination

- Attend project meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Present mechanical project progress, technical issues, and planned activities.
- Resolve site issues through effective coordination and communication.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and project stakeholders.

Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Additional qualifications in HVAC, MEP, Project Management, or related fields will be an advantage.

Experience

- Typically, 8–10 years of relevant experience in HVAC/ MEP Projects, preferably in commercial buildings, industrial projects, data centres, hospitals, hotels, or large-scale construction projects.
- Experience in managing mechanical site execution, subcontractors, testing & commissioning, and client/consultant coordination.
