Job Summary The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and optimizing all production activities at the lead-acid battery recycling plant, including battery breaking and separation, lead-bearing material processing, smelting, refining, alloy production, and casting.

Responsibilities:

- Plan and monitor daily production activities, including battery breaking, material separation, smelting, refining, and casting.
- Optimize furnace performance, plant utilization, manpower deployment, and production cycle time.
- Ensure achievement of production targets and minimize process interruptions and downtime.
- Monitor lead recovery, metal losses, slag generation, dross formation, and material balance.
- Optimize process parameters, fuel consumption, and energy efficiency to reduce production costs.
- Implement corrective actions to improve yield, throughput, and overall process efficiency.
- Ensure finished lead and lead alloys meet specified chemical composition and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with the laboratory for sampling, testing, and batch approval.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance of furnaces, battery-breaking equipment, conveyors, casting machines, and auxiliary systems.
- Minimize equipment breakdowns through timely inspections and root-cause analysis.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and maximum availability.




- Monitor workforce productivity, discipline, shift handovers, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Control consumption of fuel, electricity, consumables, refractory materials, and other production resources.
- Prepare daily and monthly reports covering production, recovery, consumption, downtime, and quality.

Requirements:

- B.E./B.Tech. in Metallurgy, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- 8–12 years of industrial experience, preferably with at least 5 years in lead recycling or secondary lead smelting.
- Hands-on experience in furnace operations, lead recovery improvement, and production team management.
- Effective leadership, problem-solving, reporting, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. in Metallurgy, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent

Experience: 8–12 years in lead recycling, secondary lead smelting, or non-ferrous metal processing

Salary: 75k-1L

Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per year
