Production Manager Cum Quality Control Pressure Cooker & Triply Cookware Plant

Reports to: Managing Director

Department: Production / Operations

Position Summary

Responsible for manufacturing pressure cookers and triply (tri-ply) cookware, covering the press shop, spinning, bonding, finishing and assembly, with consistent quality, safety compliance and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and manage production across blanking, deep drawing, spinning, trimming, polishing, anodising or surface treatment, handle and lid assembly, and packing.
- Ensure pressure cookers meet safety and performance standards, including gasket, safety valve, lid-locking and hydraulic/pressure testing.
- Manage tooling and dies: design inputs, maintenance, life tracking and changeover time reduction.
- Drive improvements in yield, cycle time, line balancing and OEE.
- Work with R&D;/NPD on new models, sample development and costing, including OEM orders.
- Set in-process and final inspection plans, and handle customer complaints and root cause analysis.
- Coordinate with Purchase,



Stores and Sales on material planning, delivery commitments and tender or bulk orders.
- Lead and develop supervisors and operators, and enforce safety, 5S and housekeeping.
- Support recent machinery selection, plant layout and expansion planning.

Qualifications & Experience

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering.
- 3+ years in cookware, pressure cooker, press shop or sheet metal forming manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
- Experience with deep drawing presses, spinning machines and tooling is essential.

Skills

- Strong grasp of forming processes, tooling and defect analysis
- Knowledge of pressure vessel safety testing and quality standards
- Lean manufacturing, OEE and costing
- Team leadership and cross-department coordination

Key Performance Indicators Output vs plan, first-pass yield, rejection and rework %, field failure/complaint rate, tooling downtime, on-time delivery, safety compliance
