Job Overview

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Production Designer / Set Designer to conceptualize, design, and execute visually compelling environments for films, advertisements, music videos, digital content, photoshoots, and other productions.

The candidate will be responsible for translating creative briefs, scripts, and visual references into practical and aesthetically strong sets, ensuring that the overall visual language aligns with the director’s vision, brand requirements, production budget, and schedule.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop creative concepts, mood boards, visual references, and art direction presentations based on scripts and creative briefs.
- Design sets, environments, backdrops, props, and spatial layouts for various productions.
- Create set layouts, floor plans, sketches, 3D visualizations, and design presentations.
- Collaborate with directors, cinematographers, producers, creative teams, and clients to establish the visual direction of a project.
- Source locations, materials, furniture, props, fabrics, and decorative elements as required.
- Coordinate with art directors, set fabricators, carpenters, painters, prop masters, and vendors to execute designs.
- Prepare and manage set design budgets, material lists, estimates, and production timelines.
- Supervise set construction, installation, dressing,



and on-site execution.
- Ensure visual consistency, continuity, functionality, and camera-friendly set arrangements.
- Troubleshoot on-site challenges and adapt designs to meet production requirements.
- Ensure compliance with set safety standards and production guidelines.
- Manage the dismantling, return, storage, or disposal of set materials after production.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Degree, diploma, or relevant experience in Production Design, Set Design, Interior Design, Fine Arts, Architecture, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of art direction, composition, colour theory, textures, materials, and spatial design.
- Proficiency in design tools such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalent software.
- Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate ideas into practical design solutions.
- Strong knowledge of set construction, fabrication techniques, props, and materials.
- Excellent communication, coordination, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Solid attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
