About the Role We are hiring experienced PIU Associates for a confidential political intelligence assignment in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand.

The role involves grassroots political intelligence, constituency research, issue tracking, political monitoring, source development and preparation of actionable intelligence reports.

This is NOT a survey/data-collection position. Candidates must have professional experience in PIU, political consulting, election strategy, war-room or constituency intelligence teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct on-ground political and social intelligence gathering.
- Track public sentiment, political developments and emerging issues.
- Identify key local grievances, influencers, community networks and opinion leaders.
- Monitor political parties, elected representatives and important local actors.
- Develop and maintain reliable grassroots sources.
- Verify significant information through multiple sources.
- Conduct regular field visits across villages, towns and markets.
- Prepare daily and weekly intelligence reports with actionable insights.
- Identify political opportunities,



risks and early-warning signals.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sources, client information and campaign strategy.

Mandatory Experience

- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in 3 or more election campaigns preferred.
- Proven experience in field-based political intelligence, not merely surveys or desk research.
- Experience in Assembly/Lok Sabha campaigns preferred.
- Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh or North Indian campaign experience will be an advantage.

Required Skills

- Strong understanding of grassroots politics and social dynamics.
- Excellent field interviewing, observation and analytical skills.
- Ability to verify information and convert field inputs into actionable intelligence.
- Excellent spoken Hindi and good reporting skills in Hindi/English.
- Comfortable with WhatsApp, Google Sheets/Excel and digital reporting.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work long hours.
- High discretion and confidentiality.

NOT Suitable For Candidates whose experience is limited to tele calling, surveys/data collection, door-to-door surveys, booth mobilisation, event management, social media or general political volunteering will generally not be considered.
