Shri Viratra Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is engaged in manufacturing industrial machinery and processing plants, including Dal, Rice, Atta, Besan, Masala and Oil Mill plants.

Job Purpose To lead and manage the complete manufacturing operations of the company, ensuring production efficiency, product quality, cost control, timely delivery, ERP/MRP implementation, and a systematic, process-driven manufacturing workplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Complete Plant Management
- Lead and coordinate all manufacturing departments.
- Manage Laser Cutting, CNC Bending, Welding & Fabrication, Powder Coating, Assembly, Quality Control, Testing and Dispatch.
- Establish departmental targets, responsibilities, reporting systems and accountability.
- Ensure smooth coordination between Production, Design, PPC, Stores, Purchase, Quality and Dispatch.
- Production Planning & Control
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans.
- Ensure timely execution of work orders and customer delivery commitments.
- Monitor machine capacity, manpower utilization, material availability and production bottlenecks.
- Implement production tracking and daily review meetings.
- Quality Control & Testing
- Establish incoming, in-process and final inspection procedures.
- Ensure machines and plants undergo proper functional testing before dispatch.
- Reduce rework, rejection, customer complaints and quality-related delays.




- Implement root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
- ERP/MRP & Process Implementation
- Lead implementation and adoption of ERP/MRP systems.
- Establish accurate production routing, BOM coordination, work orders, material consumption and inventory tracking.
- Develop SOPs, department-wise KPIs, dashboards and daily MIS reports.
- Ensure production data is recorded accurately and reviewed regularly.
- Manpower & Leadership
- Lead a workforce of approximately 200 employees through department heads, supervisors and team leaders.
- Improve discipline, productivity, attendance, skill development and workforce accountability.
- Identify staffing gaps and build a reliable supervisory structure.
- Develop a second line of leadership to reduce dependency on individual employees.
- Cost, Productivity & Delivery
- Control manufacturing costs, wastage, overtime and rework.
- Improve machine utilization, labour productivity and material yield.
- Monitor on-time delivery, production achievement and dispatch readiness.
- Drive continuous improvement, 5S and Lean Manufacturing practices where applicable.
- Maintenance, Safety & Compliance
- Coordinate preventive maintenance of production machinery.
- Ensure workplace safety, equipment inspections and safe material handling.
- Maintain housekeeping, process discipline and applicable statutory compliance.




- Management Reporting
- Submit daily, weekly and monthly performance reports to management.
- Highlight delays, quality issues, cost overruns and corrective actions.
- Take ownership of manufacturing performance and implement measurable improvements.

Required Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering preferred.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering may be considered for candidates with strong, relevant plant leadership experience.
- Minimum 15 years of overall manufacturing experience, with substantial experience in senior operations leadership.
- Proven experience managing large teams in machinery manufacturing, industrial equipment or sheet-metal fabrication.
- Practical knowledge of CNC laser cutting, bending, welding, fabrication, coating, assembly and testing.
- Strong understanding of PPC, Quality Management, ERP/MRP, BOM, routing, inventory and MIS.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, communication and execution skills.
