About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Head of Placements to lead the institution’s placement activities, establish robust corporate relationships, and ensure excellent career opportunities for students. The candidate must have prior experience working in a college or university and a proven track record in campus placements, corporate engagement, and student career development.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Placement Strategy & Management

- Develop and implement effective placement strategies to achieve student placement targets.
- Lead and manage the Training & Placement Department.
- Prepare annual placement plans, targets, schedules, and reports.
- Monitor placement performance and take corrective measures to improve outcomes.

2. Corporate Relations & Employer Engagement

- Build and maintain strong relationships with companies, corporate HR teams, recruiters, and industry professionals.
- Identify and approach potential employers for campus recruitment drives.
- Develop new corporate partnerships for internships, live projects, and placement opportunities.
- Organize campus recruitment drives, job fairs, and corporate interaction sessions.

3. Student Placement & Career Development

- Coordinate placement activities for students across different courses and departments.
- Guide students in resume preparation, interview techniques, group discussions, aptitude tests, and professional communication.
- Facilitate internships, pre-placement offers (PPOs), and full-time employment opportunities.




- Ensure students are adequately prepared to meet industry expectations.

4. Team Leadership & Coordination

- Lead, mentor, and supervise the placement team.
- Assign responsibilities and monitor individual and departmental performance.
- Coordinate with Heads of Departments, faculty members, and institutional management to align placement activities with academic programs.
- Ensure timely communication of placement opportunities and recruitment schedules to students.

5. Reporting & Performance Monitoring

- Maintain accurate records of placements, internships, recruiter details, salary packages, and student participation.
- Track placement statistics, including placement rates, company visits, and recruitment outcomes.
- Prepare periodic placement reports and present updates to senior management.
- Develop strategies to improve placement quality, employer satisfaction, and student employability.

6. Industry–Academia Collaboration

- Establish partnerships with industry organizations to understand current hiring trends and skill requirements.
- Facilitate guest lectures, industry visits, workshops, seminars, and corporate mentoring sessions.
- Recommend employability training and skill-development initiatives based on industry needs.

Eligibility Criteria
- Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Management, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline.
- 8–10 years of relevant professional experience ,



with mandatory prior experience in the Training & Placement Department of a college or university.
- Proven experience in managing campus placements and corporate recruitment relationships.
- Strong network of corporate contacts and recruiters across relevant industries.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve placement targets and manage a placement team.
