1. Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and responsible Pharmacist to join our hospital team. The candidate will be responsible for dispensing medicines, maintaining medicine inventory, ensuring proper storage of pharmaceutical products, and providing accurate medication-related information to patients and healthcare professionals.
1. Key Responsibilities

- Dispense medicines as per valid prescriptions and applicable regulations.
- Verify prescriptions for correct medicines, dosage, strength, and instructions before dispensing.
- Maintain adequate stock of medicines, surgical supplies, and other pharmacy products.
- Monitor expiry dates and ensure proper storage of medicines as per manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain pharmacy stock registers, purchase records, billing records, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication availability and queries.
- Ensure proper handling and documentation of controlled and restricted medicines, wherever applicable.
- Monitor stock levels and prepare purchase requests to avoid shortages.
- Check incoming medicines for quantity, batch number, expiry date, and product condition.
- Follow pharmacy regulations, hospital policies, and patient safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization,



and proper storage in the pharmacy.
- Provide patients with appropriate guidance on medicine usage, dosage, storage, and precautions within the scope of practice.
- Report medication errors, discrepancies, damaged products, and stock shortages to the concerned authority.

1. Educational Qualification

- B.Pharm or D.Pharm from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the Odisha Pharmacy Council or the applicable State Pharmacy Council, as required.

1. Experience Required

- 1–3 years of relevant experience in a hospital pharmacy or retail pharmacy.
- Experience in medicine dispensing, inventory management, billing, and stock maintenance.
- Hospital pharmacy experience will be preferred.

1. Required Skills

- Valuable knowledge of medicines, dosage forms, and prescription handling.
- Knowledge of drug storage, expiry management, and inventory control.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy billing software.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail, honesty, and a patient-focused approach.

1. Working Conditions

- Full-time, on-site position.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays, as required.

1. Salary and Benefits

Salary will be decided according to prevailing market standards, based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and suitability for the role. Other benefits will be as per hospital policy. Pay: ₹8,200.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
