Job Summary

Horizon Prime Hospital is looking for an experienced and responsible OT Manager to oversee and coordinate all Operation Theatre activities. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth OT operations, coordinating with consultants, surgeons, anesthetists, nursing staff, and other departments, and maintaining high standards of patient safety, infection control, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and coordinate day-to-day Operation Theatre operations to ensure smooth functioning.
- Coordinate with consultants, surgeons, anesthetists, and OT staff regarding surgery schedules and requirements.
- Prepare and manage OT schedules in coordination with consultants and concerned departments.
- Ensure the availability of OT staff, equipment, instruments, consumables, and other necessary resources before procedures.
- Coordinate with the CSSD, nursing, housekeeping, biomedical, and other support teams for OT readiness.
- Monitor OT utilization, on-time surgical starts, case turnovers, and overall operational efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to infection-control protocols, sterilization procedures, patient safety practices, and applicable NABH standards.
- Monitor OT documentation, checklists, registers, and records for accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and availability of surgical instruments, equipment, and consumables.
- Supervise OT staff, allocate duties, monitor attendance, and ensure adequate staffing coverage.
- Guide and support OT staff to maintain professional conduct, discipline, teamwork, and service quality.




- Address operational issues and coordinate with the concerned departments for timely resolution.
- Monitor OT-related incidents, equipment issues, and process gaps and report them to management.
- Conduct regular checks of OT readiness, cleanliness, equipment functionality, and emergency preparedness.
- Support staff training, audits, quality improvement initiatives, and compliance activities.

Required Skills
- Strong coordination and team management skills.
- Experience in OT operations and surgical workflow management.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, surgeons, anesthetists, and OT staff.
- Knowledge of OT protocols, infection control, sterilization, and patient safety.
- Understanding of NABH standards and hospital quality procedures.
- Valuable communication, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple surgical cases and handle operational challenges efficiently.

Eligibility Criteria
- Relevant qualification in Nursing or Healthcare Administration.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Operation Theatre operations or OT coordination; hospital experience preferred.
- Experience in coordinating with consultants and managing OT staff is essential.
- Willingness to work as per hospital requirements, including rotational shifts.
