Job Summary :

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in CNC and VMC machining, tooling, fixtures, cycle-time optimisation, and forged component development. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver who can develop cutting-edge manufacturing solutions, reduce costs, improve productivity, and successfully launch new products.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead new product development (NPD) from feasibility studies and prototyping to validation and mass production.
- Develop innovative, cost-effective manufacturing solutions using out-of-the-box thinking.
- Apply hands-on expertise in CNC and VMC machining, tooling, fixtures, and machining process optimisation.
- Understand cold forging and hot forging processes, including forged blank development and subsequent machining operations.
- Identify opportunities for Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VA/VE), cost reduction, and productivity improvement.
- Optimise machining cycle times and improve manufacturing process efficiency.
- Interpret engineering drawings, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;), and material specifications.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, Purchase, Tool Room, and external suppliers to ensure smooth product development.
- Identify manufacturing challenges and implement practical,



technically sound solutions.
- Ensure successful product launches within defined quality, cost, and project timelines.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve component quality, process capability, and manufacturing efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in New Product Development, preferably in precision-machined components.
- Robust practical knowledge of CNC and VMC machining processes.
- Experience in tooling, fixture development, and machining cycle-time optimisation.
- Knowledge of cold forging and hot forging processes, forged blanks, and post-forging machining.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T;, and material specifications.
- Proven ability to identify manufacturing problems and develop innovative, cost-effective solutions.
- Experience in VA/VE, cost reduction, productivity improvement, and process optimisation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Ability to take ownership of product quality, cost, and project delivery.
