Job Summary

Catalyst Education is looking for a passionate and technically skilled Networking Mentor / Network Trainer to train, mentor, and guide students in networking technologies. The ideal candidate should have strong networking fundamentals, practical experience with networking devices and tools, and the ability to deliver industry-oriented training.

The candidate will be responsible for conducting hands-on lab sessions, explaining networking concepts, monitoring student progress, and preparing students for networking certifications and job opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver technical training sessions on computer networking concepts and technologies.
- Explain networking fundamentals, including the OSI model, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols.
- Conduct hands-on lab sessions using networking simulators and relevant hardware.
- Train students in VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, ACLs, NAT, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, IPv4, IPv6, and network troubleshooting.
- Provide practical exposure to Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Introduce students to Windows Server, Linux fundamentals, and cloud networking concepts.
- Prepare lesson plans, presentations, lab exercises, assignments, and assessments.
- Monitor student performance and provide guidance to improve technical skills.
- Help students prepare for networking certifications and technical interviews.
- Simplify complex networking concepts through practical demonstrations and real-world examples.
- Stay updated with networking technologies, industry trends,



and certification requirements.
- Support students in developing the technical knowledge and practical skills required for networking careers.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification in Networking, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals and protocols.
- Practical understanding of routing, switching, VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, ACLs, NAT, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, and IPv4/IPv6.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Knowledge of Windows Server, Linux basics, and cloud networking concepts.
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting methodologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a simple and practical manner.
- Passion for teaching, mentoring, and helping students build technical careers.
