Medical Attendant – Patient Care A Medical Attendant / Patient Care Assistant helps patients with their daily activities and provides basic care under the supervision of nurses or doctors. 1.

Job Responsibilities

Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Help patients with walking, moving, and changing positions. Assist patients with eating and drinking. Monitor and report changes in the patient's condition to nurses or doctors. Check and record vital signs if trained and authorized. Help maintain cleanliness and comfort in the patient's room. Assist nurses during routine patient care. Help transport patients using wheelchairs or stretchers. Follow infection control procedures and maintain hygiene. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients. Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and safety. Report emergencies immediately to the medical team. 2.

Required Skills Good communication and interpersonal skills. Patience and a caring attitude. Basic knowledge of patient hygiene and safety. Ability to work in a team. Physical fitness to assist patients safely. Knowledge of basic first aid is an advantage. 3.

Qualifications Minimum qualification depends on the hospital or employer. 10th or 12th pass may be accepted for some positions.
