Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring smooth and reliable operation of plant machinery and equipment through preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance, minimizing downtime and improving equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults and ensure timely resolution to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain equipment such as motors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Support maintenance of cable manufacturing machinery, including wire drawing, stranding, bunching, extrusion, armouring, and other production equipment, as applicable.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections, lubrication, alignment, and replacement of worn-out parts.
- Identify recurring breakdowns and implement corrective and preventive actions.




- Coordinate with Production, Electrical Maintenance, and other departments for smooth plant operations.
- Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, spare parts inventory, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, permit-to-work procedures, and 5S practices.

Qualification Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

25 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or cable industry.

Required Skills

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of industrial mechanical equipment and maintenance practices.
- Understanding of preventive maintenance and breakdown analysis.
- Valuable coordination, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts, as per plant requirements.
