Job Opening: Marine Electrical Engineer *

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance across vessel electrical systems, switchboards (MSB/ESB), and marine DG sets.
- Troubleshoot automated drives, VFDs, PLCs, deck machinery (cranes, winches, windlasses), and electro-hydraulic auxiliary systems.
- Direct emergency fault diagnosis, root cause analysis (RCFA), and equipment overhauls (motors, alternators, insulation testing).
- Lead and allocate shift duties to a crew of marine electricians and wiremen while managing external contractors during docking/refit operations.
- Enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Permit to Work (PTW) protocols, and ensure compliance with classification society (IRS, DNV, ClassNK, etc.) and marine safety standards.

Requirements





- Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering (EEE) or Marine Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 5+ years in shipyards, ship repair, drydocks, or heavy marine fabrication environments.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of marine power generation, synchronizing panels, single-line diagrams (SLDs), automation controls, and shipyard safety compliance.
