Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Manufacturing Head to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations at Sandhar Amkin Industries, Manesar. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in the automotive, helmet, personal protective equipment (PPE), or riding accessories manufacturing industry, with strong expertise in production management, customer handling, business development, operational excellence, and Profit & Loss (P&L;) management.

The candidate will be responsible for driving manufacturing efficiency, ensuring product quality, optimizing costs, developing customer relationships, and achieving business growth and profitability targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manufacturing & Operations Management

- Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations, including production planning, execution, capacity utilization, and process improvement.
- Ensure achievement of production targets, delivery schedules, productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Optimize manpower, machinery, material utilization, and manufacturing costs.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and statutory requirements.

2. Customer Handling & Relationship Management

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, OEMs, and strategic business partners.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer escalations related to quality, delivery, production, and service.
- Coordinate with customers on forecasts, capacity planning, new product requirements, and delivery commitments.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term business relationships.

3. Business Development & Growth





- Identify new business opportunities and support customer acquisition and business expansion.
- Work closely with the Sales, Marketing, and Business Development teams to develop new customer relationships.
- Support RFQs, costing, capacity assessments, feasibility studies, and new business proposals.
- Drive new product introduction (NPI), product industrialization, and successful launch of recent programs.
- Develop strategies to increase revenue, market share, and customer engagement.

4. Profit & Loss (P&L;) Management

- Take ownership of plant-level P&L;, revenue, profitability, and cost optimization.
- Monitor manufacturing costs, material consumption, conversion costs, overheads, and operating expenses.
- Develop and manage annual operating budgets and business plans.
- Identify cost-reduction opportunities and improve overall operational profitability.
- Track key financial and operational KPIs and implement corrective actions to achieve business objectives.

5. Quality & Process Excellence

- Ensure consistent product quality and compliance with customer specifications and applicable industry standards.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and reduce rejection, rework, scrap, and customer complaints.
- Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Purchase, and Supply Chain teams.
- Ensure effective implementation of quality management systems and customer-specific requirements.

6. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination

- Lead and develop teams across Production, Quality, Maintenance, PPC, Tool Room, Stores, and Supply Chain, as applicable.
- Establish performance targets and review departmental KPIs regularly.
- Build a culture of accountability, productivity, teamwork, and continuous improvement.




- Coordinate with senior management on strategic planning, operational performance, and business growth.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- MBA or a postgraduate qualification in Operations or Business Management will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 18+ years of experience in manufacturing, with substantial experience in plant or manufacturing leadership.
- Experience in helmet manufacturing, riding accessories, automotive components, plastics, polymer processing, or allied manufacturing industries is preferred.
- Proven experience in customer management, business development support, and P&L; ownership.
- Strong understanding of production planning, quality management, supply chain, cost control, and operational excellence.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large teams, achieve business targets, and improve plant profitability.
